After having browsed around for details about FlourineFx and having been in contact with Mr. Zoltan Csibi (Creator of FlourineFx) the project appears to be very well in deed.

Currently the team is working on more tight integration into Visual Studio and the most recent commit to the repository is from the 25^th of December 2008.
