Introducing AVIT… another Aral Balkan production
Avit is one of the latest really cool iPhone apps which in the purest simplicity provides the user with instant gratification and value…
Avit allows you to scan the barcode on a book from your iPhone camera, submit it to the Avit webservice and immediately be given the options of reading it instantly or bookmarking it for later purchase on Safari books… pretty neat !

TheFunTheory/RolighetsTeorin… The PianoStairs Experiment
Sometimes its important to think out of the box, and I believe that’s what I believe these guys and girls did when they came up with the idea about the pianostairs…
The solution of making pianostairs as an alternative to escalator and normal “boring” stairs is based on the funtheory (that making things fun will make the critical difference).
Check out the video at youtube…
However, don’t be mistaken… the experiment is sponsored by Volkswagen, so it’s not for your blue eyes only they did it… nevertheless, it doesn’t change the fact that we can change user behavior by making the action itself fun to do…
You can check out the video above and the other funtheory videos at the funtheory website…

Hello Flash Builder Console
Flash Player Trace statements constitute the perfect platform for output’s which are ASCII based equivalences to the controversial tradition of developers adding Easter Eggs to the Systems they are building.
The content of the ASCII based output can be of a more or less elaborate character, on one of the projects we are doing for the Danish Electricity Saving Trust: “MyHome – Your Intelligent Home”… it looks like below…
Thanks to Paw Suddergaard for sharing his screen for a second…
GUGGAFF… as good as it gets
GUGGAFF is spurious title which is just the abbreviation of Gugga Flex Framework… and its not without merits that these guys are proud of their contribution to the open source scene.
Gugga is a company that has specialized in quality and upfrontity, I know the last word is not recognized by Merriam-Webster as a valid Oxford English word, however, in my effort to describe the Gugga company it is totally valid and correct.
This is not a shameless act of cheap promotion (I’m not associated with Gugga – I’m a very proud Software Architect at Hello Group in Copenhagen)… despite some parts of the message could be misinterpreted as such… however… anyways…
The talented guys at Gugga has shared their base class library with the rest of the world under the umbrella of the GuggaFF, and I certainly recommend that you check it out… for none other purpose than to find out how the people behind such RIA blockbusters as Bombay Sapphire and Bacardi architected the systems.
Instead of wasting more of your precious time… I will just finish with a logo and a link recommending that you check out the GuggaFF and learn how some of the coolest Internet Experiences were created…

I’m so excited about the combined skillset of the guys at Gugga, and once you have looked into their shared works, I’m 99,999% certain you will agree…
Anyways.. check em out… they are the people who can make the difference in creating a success and not a flop…

FlashCamp Sofia 2009… the website
Only today I found out that the FlashCamp Sofia 2009 I spoke at last week had a website… Anyways, its probably one of the most well-build and extravagant one of its kind, so I thought it deserved a mention.
However, beware… its in Bulgarian…

I guess this is just a humble example on the professionalism and thoroughness with which Gugga seems to always approach tasks…
Positive Disturbance… by 1902 Software
From now and then you encounter something which stands a little out from the rest… Positive Disturbance is a double-edged sword because its very easy to cross the line from positive to negative.
Sometimes at Hello, we hit it right on getting positive disturbance to work perfectly, other times we either don’t push the envelope enough and leave room for more disturbance and sometimes we (most often driven by our clients) we cross the line and produce controversial online ads which to some cross the line into negative disturbances… however, back to my point.
1902 Software has managed to make a very positive disturbance in their presentation of an endorsement from one of their clients…
And 1902 has taken it one step further as they have actually created a small unobtrusive control panel to the disturbance which allows the viewer to stop and restart the ad… great stuff…

Free Beer…. first open source beer
FREE BEER is a beer which is free in the sense of freedom, not in the sense of free beer.
The project, originally conceived by Copenhagen-based artist collective Superflex and students at the Copenhagen IT University, applies modern free software / open source methods to a traditional real-world product – namely the alcoholic beverage loved and enjoyed globally, and commonly known as beer.
FREE BEER is based on classic ale brewing traditions, but with addded Guaraná for a natural energy boost. The recipe and branding elements of FREE BEER is published under a Creative Commons (Attribution-ShareAlike 2.5) license, which means that anyone can use the recipe to brew their own FREE BEER or create a derivative of the recipe. Anyone is free to earn money from FREE BEER, but they must publish the recipe under the same license and credit the original work. All design and branding elements are available to beer brewers, and can be modified to suit, provided changes are published under the same license (“Attribution & Share Alike”)
FREE BEER is based on Vores Øl v. 1.
FREE BEER v 3.0 is currently under revision by Skands Brewery.

Denmark has new PM… now with a website
Due to Mr. Anders Fogh Rasmussen’s escape to the position as General Secretary for NATO, Denmark has a new PM.
In true Mr. Barack Obama style, the new PM of Denmark, Mr. Lars Løkke Rasmussen (not related to the former PM), has created a massive online profile and presence including Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and Flickr… very Web 2.0…

Denmark is a cool place…
There is no doubt about it, even though I sometimes seem to be fed up with the culture for innovation and entrepreneurship in Denmark… A lot of people still manage to make it happen and come up with some great ideas and concepts…
One of these is the company Lila who are working on something truly cool and revolutionizing… The architecture is backed by no other than Cliff Hall (Creator and Innovator of PureMVC) and the development team features none other than Martin Rossil (Former Hello employee).
They have published a video which captures the excitement and dedication that the people behind the product has… check it out…
